Internship Program

Internship ProGrams

Ferrell Studios recognizes the importance in the development of new and emerging arts professionals through training and work experience. We have developed three opportunities for developing undergraduate and recently graduated arts practitioners. If you have any questions about our internship programs, please reach out to Luke Ferrell at luke@ferrellstudios.com.

  • Internships in Arts Education are offered throughout the academic year and are open to current or recently graduated undergraduate students.

The purpose of the academic year Arts Education Internship Program is to train undergraduate students studying or practicing in an arts discipline in educational pedagogy in a virtual setting. Upon completion of a comprehensive training program, interns will gain experience in curriculum development and teaching their own class.

Academic year interns are paid for teaching time upon completion of a prerequisite training program.

The 2024-25 Academic Year Internship Application can be found here.

  • Over the course of three months, interns have the opportunity to engage with a specialized area of the performing arts, including education, production, and marketing. Each department of interns within the cohort has a hands-on experience in piloting a new project within the company and works to develop important skills, combining NACE Competencies for a Career-Ready Workforce and pedagogical knowledge within their specialization.

Interns in this cohort will work from June through August about 20 hours per week on a hybrid schedule (both in-person and virtually).

The Summer 2025 Internship Application is coming soon.

Please Note: This internship cohort is only open to undergraduate and graduate students attending New Jersey Institutions of Higher Education.

  • Undergraduate students interested in receiving academic credit for work on a mainstage production or special project should contact info@ferrellstudios.com.

Production Staff placements are non-paid positions, but may be arranged for credit through the student's institution of higher education.
