At Ferrell Studios, we believe in the transformative power of the performing arts to inspire, uplift, and connect communities. Our mission is to create accessible and inclusive opportunities for individuals of all ages to explore their creativity and develop their skills through high-quality educational programming and community theatre productions. We strive to foster a supportive environment where artists and students can grow, express themselves, and collaborate in meaningful ways.

About Us

Ferrell Studios is dedicated to providing exceptional performing arts education and producing impactful theatrical experiences for children, teens, young adults, and the broader community. Located in Metuchen, NJ, with virtual programs available worldwide, we bring together and celebrate writers, directors, choreographers, instrumentalists, performers, teaching artists, and creative enthusiasts from across New Jersey and beyond.

Our offerings include in-person and virtual classes in acting, musical theatre, playwriting, film and television acting, public speaking, and theory and criticism. We also provide private lessons tailored to individual areas of interest. To date, we’ve reached over 600 students from around the globe.

We offer internships in production, marketing, and arts education, providing New Jersey college students with hands-on experience and professional training to help them launch their careers. Through these opportunities, we aim to cultivate the next generation of arts leaders and creators.

Ferrell Studios is the resident theater company of the mignolo Arts Center, the 40-seat blackbox space where we perform much of our season, and a member of the New Jersey Association of Community Theatres.  Our productions include musicals, plays, original play festivals, musical revues, and independent projects. Past highlights include The Last Five Years, Songs for a New World, and Miracle: A Holiday Cabaret.
